Digital Media Team Wins Second Place in New York State SkillsUSA 3-D Visualization and Animation Competition - April 25, 2014
Christina Nubelo from Lockport and Brian Kowalik from North Tonawanda took second place in the SkillsUSA New York State 3-D Visualization and Animation competition this year. Students spent three days in Syracuse, meeting and competing against other students from all over New York state.



Digital Media Students Participate in National Anti-Bullying Contest - May 13, 2014
Anti-bullying with digital responsibility is the theme of the Great American NO BULL Challenge in which four Digital Media students from the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center participated. We encourage students to use contests to show off their video and animation skills in a real-word, deadline-driven scenario. The focus of this contest is to spread awareness about how individuals can take a stand against bulllying. 

 

Three Digital Media Student Inducted into National Technical Honor Society - October 29, 2014

Niagara Career and Technical Education Center celebrated sixteen of its students who were accepted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) this year. Digital Media students Brian Kowalik (NorthTonawanda), Jacob Kujawa (Niagara Wheatfield), and Christina Nubelo (Lockport) were among the students inducted. In order to qualify, students must be members of SkillsUSA, have excellent or perfect attendance, an excellent disciplinary record, and maintain an average of 90 or better in their Career and Technical program, as well as an overall average of 85 or better at their district.
