​Digital Media Student Wins Second Place in Video Category at the WNY Media Arts Show at UB - February 27, 2009
The Digital Media class traveled to the University at Buffalo on February 27, 2009 to attend the Western New York Media Art Teachers' Association (MATA) Media Arts Festival. Over 200 media arts students from all over Western New York were in attendance. Students had the opportunity to exhibit their work, participate in mini-workshops, tour the Visual Studies and Media Studies departments, and apply to the New York State Summer School for the Arts. NCTEC Digital Media student Zach Pape, a junior from North Tonawanda, won second place in the Video and Animation category with his documentary video about the creation of the TCP skate park in North Tonawanda.

 

​Digital Media Senior Wins 2009 Statewide "Keeping Smiles Brighter" Contest - May 22, 2009
Digital Media senior Raechelle Ripley from Wilson was named as a winner in the 2009 statewide "Keeping Smiles Brighter" contest, sponsored by the New York State Dental Association. Raechelle created a placemat promoting dental heath that will be distributed across the state. She also received a cash award of $100.00. Digital Media Senior Wins Dr. Clark Godshall Scholarship - June 12, 2009

Digital Media senior Raechelle Ripley from Wilson was one of the recipients of the Dr. Clark Godshall scholarship. Raechelle received $250 dollars to further her education in Visual Arts at SUNY Fredonia.

​Field Trip to NCCC and LCTV - November 17, 2009
The Digital Media students took a field trip to Niagara County Community College to explore the college credit opportunities available through NCCC's College Acceleration Program, and then on to the Lockport Community Television station to learn about public access television. Several students appeared as guests on the show, "Your Public Schools", while others worked behind the scenes to help produce the show.
