Animation, Film and Visual Effects program becomes part of the
NCTEC Tech Academy - September 1, 2017

This fall, the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center will implement their new Tech Academy initiative, which includes the following programs: Animation, Film and Visual Effects; Web Development and Game Programming; and Cybersecurity and Networking. The Tech Academy was formed to build more collaboration between the NCTEC tech programs, as well as offer students more options within this field. Each program is comprised of two one-year, stand-alone courses. While most students still prefer to take both years of their chosen program, students can also come for one year if that fits better with their schedule. Students wishing to attend the Tech Academy must complete an interview process in order to discuss their goals and interests, as well as the expectations of the program.
